Vince Guaraldi Trio - O Tannenbaum
Well, seeing that it’s the first of December, I thought it’d be nice to roll out one of my favourites from my favourite Christmas album: A Charlie Brown Christmas.
Yea yea, I know. Christmas music has already been overplayed. I get it. However, there’s something about this rendition of O Tannenbaum (literally O Fir Tree) that makes me just love it. The simple trio of piano, drums, and bass, is such a nice mellow sound. It starts off how you’d expect a simple piano rendition of O Christmas Tree would sound like, but then they just launch you into some smooth jazz and eventually a fantastic piano solo.
Anyways, I hope you folks enjoy this one as much as I do and that you have a fantastic Caturday/start of December!
